Prior to founding Crescent Sterling, Howard was with JMC Capital Management, Inc. for eight years, serving as the Director of Research and as a portfolio manager. His financial and accounting experience also include his position on the Tax Staff of Arthur Andersen & Co., and his economic background includes his position as Staff Manager for South Central Bell where he was responsible for economic and system demand forecasts.

 

Howard received a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration with areas of concentration in Accounting and Economics from the University of New Orleans.

He has attained the CFA Institute's Chartered Financial Analyst designation; Howard is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), Certified Financial Planner and Certified Management Accountant.

 

Howard is a member of the CFA Institute, a member and past President of the CFA Society of Louisiana, past chairman and member of the Investment Committee of the United Way of Greater New Orleans, a member of the National Association of Business Economists and the organization's Financial Roundtable, a member and past President of the New Orleans Regional Council for Business Economics, and a member of the Louisiana Society of CPA's and the Board of the New Orleans Society of CPA's.
